9 movies to watch as you celebrate the day
On January 26, India will commemorate its 73rd Republic Day. The Indian Constitution went into effect on this day in 1950, and it is known as Republic Day.
The Government of India Act of 1935 was replaced as the country's governing document by the Constitution, which was approved in 1949.
This was the beginning of India's transition to a republic. After a long and painful fight, India gained independence from the British in 1947.
Every year, Republic Day is commemorated with a big parade in New Delhi that includes the tableaus of India's states. The event will be shown live on television.

Lagaan
India's official entry to the Oscars in 2002 was Ashutosh Gowariker's film. It centres around villagers in Central India in 1893 who must play a cricket match against the British to be spared from burdensome taxes. It stars Aamir Khan and Gracy Singh in the major roles.
Khadgam
Despite being a commercial film directed by award-winning director Krishna Vamsi, Khadgam is also about heroism and fostering harmony by triumphing over communal hatred and terrorism. A Muslim auto driver, an aspiring Hindu actor, and a police officer work together to stop a terrorist attack by Pakistani terrorists.
These three characters were performed by Srikanth, Ravi Teja, and Prakash Raj in this Tollywood patriotic film, which received nine accolades.
Swades
In this movie, Shah Rukh Khan plays as Mohan Bhargav, a non-resident Indian who returns to the country to rediscover the woman who raised him and embarks on a journey to understand where he truly belongs in this 2004 film, also directed by Ashutosh Gowariker.’
Na peru Surya, Na ilu India
Featuring the Stylish Star, Surya, an army officer, is played by Allu Arjun, and the film concentrates upon the challenges of rage that the short-tempered Surya experiences. The issue for him is to control his rage so that he can serve India's borders and perform his duties well.
Surya's powerful dialogues, particularly those about India, are packed with a lot of impacts. To cap it off, Allu Arjun not only looks great, but he also plays Surya flawlessly.
Rang De Basanti
Rang De Basanti is about a group of youngsters who are cast in a docudrama about Indian freedom fighters and how that opportunity turns them into rebels for a cause. The movie has an ensemble cast that includes Aamir Khan, Siddharth, R Madhavan and Soha Ali Khan.
Bharteeyeedu
This Telugu film, directed by the famous Shankar, is set in the pre-independence era and shows India's victory over the British. National Award-winner Kamal Haasan plays Senapathy, an ex-Indian Army officer, as well as his son, Chandra Bose, a corrupted RTO officer who receives bribes.
One of the best Telugu patriotic films of all time, the riveting storey is one of the best Telugu films of all time.
Raazi
Raazi tells the story of a young woman named Sehma Khan, an undercover Indian agent who is married into a Pakistani military family to gather intelligence. The movie, which stars Alia Bhatt in the lead role, is based on the novel Calling Sehmat by Harinder Singh Sikka.
Uri: The Surgical Strike
As the title suggests, the film is based on India's retaliatory strike on terror launchpads in Pakistan after four terrorists attacked an Army base in Uri, Jammu & Kashmir, in 2016. The incident in Uri claimed the lives of nineteen Army troops.
