Exciting news awaits air travelers from Visakhapatnam as Air Asia unveils plans to launch a direct flight service connecting Vizag to Bangkok.

Starting from April 9, 2024, the airline will operate flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, providing increased accessibility for passengers.

The scheduled flight, FD 116, will depart from Bangkok (DMK) at 10.05 p.m. (local time) and arrive at Vizag (VTZ) at 11.20 p.m. (IST). In the return journey, FD 117 will take off from Vizag at 11.50 p.m. and touch down in Bangkok at 4.15 a.m. (local time).

To celebrate the launch, Air Asia is offering special all-inclusive one-way introductory fares starting from Rs.7,999.

This promotional offer is available for bookings made until January 30, 2024, with the travel period spanning from April 9 to October 26, 2024. It's important to note that Thailand operates on a time zone that is one hour and 30 minutes ahead of India.

K. Vijay Mohan, President of the Tours and Travels Association of Andhra (TTAA), shared that a delegation from the association recently visited the Air Asia headquarters in Malaysia.

Their efforts successfully convinced the airline to address the demand for direct flights connecting Vizag to Malaysia and Thailand.

Additionally, Mohan disclosed that Thai Airways is also set to initiate flights from Vizag in April of this year, further enhancing air travel options for the region.
