Amaravati's Transformation to World-Class Capital a Top Priority: AP Minister
VIJAYAWADA: P. Narayana, the municipal administration minister of Andhra Pradesh, has emphasized that transforming Amaravati into one of the world's premier capital cities remains a top priority.
He reaffirmed commitment to adhering to the original master plan conceived during the TDP regime, aiming for prompt commencement and completion of all capital city projects.
Assuming office at the secretariat on Sunday, Narayana expressed confidence that developing a world-class capital would not only benefit the region but also catalyze economic growth across the entire state.
He outlined ambitious plans for Amaravati, envisioning it as a pivotal hub driving the state's overall development.
Amaravati is set to emerge among the top five capital cities globally, serving as a significant economic engine for Andhra Pradesh," Narayana stated optimistically.
He assured prompt action, promising to set clear timelines for each project to ensure timely completion, particularly addressing the concerns of the farmers who had participated in the Land Pooling Scheme (LPS).
"In just two months after issuing the LPS notification in 2015, approximately 26,000 farmers voluntarily contributed around 34,000 acres of agricultural land," Narayana highlighted, attributing this success to the trust vested by farmers in Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu's leadership.
He underscored that the LPS initiative was unprecedented in its scale, marking a unique approach to land acquisition without financial compensation to landowners, which he attributed to Naidu's leadership.
