In a move to strengthen educational support for government school students, the Andhra Pradesh government will begin the distribution of ‘Student Mitra Kits’ from June 12, coinciding with the reopening of schools for the new academic year.
The ‘Student Mitra Kit’ initiative is a state-sponsored program aimed at equipping students with all essential learning materials at the start of the school year. Each kit includes uniforms, belts, notebooks, textbooks, workbooks, school bags, shoes, socks, and dictionaries — ensuring students are fully prepared for classroom learning.
To facilitate smooth execution, the government has allocated ₹2,279 per kit. All kits have already been dispatched to the respective mandals, and Headmasters (HMs) have been directed to complete the distribution by June 20.
This initiative reflects the government’s commitment to enhancing the quality of education and reducing the financial burden on parents. By providing these comprehensive kits, the state aims to promote educational equity, boost student morale, and improve overall school attendance and engagement.
The ‘Student Mitra Kit’ program is expected to benefit thousands of students across Andhra Pradesh, empowering them with the tools needed for academic success and a confident start to the school year.
