Cabinet Clears Major Industrial Investment

The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet has cleared a proposed ₹5,194-crore expansion by Vizag Profiles and Steel Exchange India Ltd. (SEIL), according to The Hindu.

The approval forms part of the State government’s efforts to attract industrial investments and support manufacturing-led economic growth.

SEIL’s Proposed Green Steel Plant

Steel Exchange India Ltd. has proposed setting up a green steel plant in Vizianagaram district. The project is expected to expand the company’s steel production capacity and contribute to the region’s industrial development.

According to reports, the proposed investment is expected to create around 3,000 employment opportunities. The project’s implementation will depend on the required approvals and development milestones.

Boost to Andhra Pradesh’s Industrial Sector

The Cabinet’s decision is part of a wider set of investment proposals cleared by the State government, covering manufacturing, infrastructure and clean energy.

The proposed expansion is expected to support industrial activity in North Andhra and create opportunities for employment and related businesses.
