Final Day of Campaigning Sees High Energy
Visakhapatnam witnessed a lively atmosphere on the final day of civic-election campaigning, as candidates and their supporters made the most of the remaining time to reach voters.
Campaign tracks played from early morning, while contestants moved through several localities, greeting residents, distributing leaflets and appealing for support. Roads in some areas became crowded as campaign groups moved from one neighbourhood to another.
Campaign Songs, Drums and Slogans Fill the Streets
Loudspeakers blared campaign songs at high volume, accompanied by drums, slogans and, in some places, firecrackers. Supporters gathered around candidates as they canvassed, while residents and passersby watched the campaign activity from streets and homes.
Candidates from the alliance, YSRCP and independent groups intensified their outreach as the campaign deadline approached.
Campaigning Ends Ahead of Polling
The weather remained favourable after Cyclone Arnab, allowing candidates to campaign vigorously on Friday. As the official campaigning period ended by evening, the city’s election activity shifted from canvassing to preparations for polling.
The final day marked the end of an energetic campaign, with candidates making their last appeals to voters ahead of the civic elections.
