AP DSC Teacher Exams Postponed to July 1–2 Amid Yoga Day Arrangements in Vizag

In view of the grand-scale International Yoga Day event scheduled along a 26.5 km stretch from RK Beach to Bheemili in Visakhapatnam on June 21, the Andhra Pradesh government has announced a rescheduling of the DSC (District Selection Committee) teacher recruitment exams.

Originally slated for June 20–21, the exams have now been postponed to July 1–2 to avoid travel disruptions caused by massive logistics and public gatherings around Yoga Day, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to be the chief guest.

MV Krishna Reddy, convenor of Mega DSC‑2025, confirmed the change and announced that new hall tickets reflecting revised dates and centres will be issued via the official DSC portal by June 25. Candidates are urged to download and print these updated hall tickets in time.

The move underscores the sheer scale of preparations for Yoga Day—127 compartments equipped with water, medical aid, volunteers, and LED screens, and 8,000+ police personnel deployed for security and crowd control—not to mention contingency planning at Andhra University in case of rain.
