East Coast Railway GM Evaluates Development Projects in Waltair Division
VISAKHAPATNAM: Parmeshwar Funkwal, General Manager of East Coast Railway, conducted an extensive review of the Waltair division, focusing on the mainline facilities and operational yards.
Joined by Divisional Railway Manager Saurabh Prasad, Principal Chief Operations Manager Y.N. Babu, Principal Chief Commercial Manager V.R. Lenin, Chief Track Engineer K. Dhanunjaya Rao, and other senior officials, Funkwal's visit aimed to assess and improve infrastructure projects in the Visakhapatnam region.
During the inspection, Funkwal reviewed several key areas, including the Reception Yard, Ore Yard, Central Sick Line Yard, and the New Coach Care Centre in Visakhapatnam. He evaluated the efficiency of operations and maintenance at these critical locations.
At the Coach Care Centre, Funkwal discussed maintenance schedules in detail with officials, stressing the importance of adhering to planned maintenance activities.
The General Manager also visited several important railway stations, including Simhachalam, Kottavalasa, and Chipurupalli. He assessed various amenities, interacted with passengers and staff to address concerns, and gathered feedback on passenger experiences and expectations.
Additionally, Funkwal inspected the track relaying machine operations between the Naupada and Pundi sections, ensuring smooth and effective track maintenance.
