KGH Superintendent Urges to Report Any Instances of Bribery to 0891-2590100 or 2590102.
Visakhapatnam: In a recent press conference held in his chamber at KG Hospital, Superintendent Dr. K. Sivanand announced a strict stance against corruption, urging patients to report any instances of bribery.
The conference, held on Friday at the hospital in Maha Rani Peta, highlighted the commitment to providing high-quality medical services and improving patient-doctor interactions.
Dr. Sivanand emphasized that KG Hospital is dedicated to enhancing healthcare services in North Andhra. He acknowledged the challenges faced by patients and announced the establishment of a Command Control Center at the Collector's Office to address complaints. Patients are encouraged to report any issues to the numbers 0891-2590100 or 2590102.
The introduction of the Ayushman Digital Mission will aid in maintaining secure medical records, allowing doctors to access a patient’s health history using their ID number. To better support patients, eight counseling centers are being set up, and ICU patient information will now be communicated to their families. Additionally, blood reports will be sent via WhatsApp to minimize waiting times, and birth and death certificates will be issued through Aadhaar cards.
Addressing questions, Dr. Sivanand noted that plans are in place to set up mobile phone number boards near the mortuary for Maha Prasthanam ambulances. The hospital sees up to 2,800 OP registrations daily, and efforts are being made to improve parking facilities. Eight staff members in the OP department will be accessible via mobile phones, with measures in place to ensure easy issuance of OP slips for those without smartphones.
The process for issuing birth and death certificates is being streamlined, with steps being taken to address issues related to duplicate claims and Aadhaar card discrepancies. The hospital is implementing the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, which will enable doctors across states to access patients' health records.
Dr. Sivanand also assured that Mahaprasthanam vehicle drivers and officials' contact numbers will be made available, and improvements are underway to ensure efficient vehicle movement. Special arrangements are being made at the operation theaters and intensive care centers. New help desks and additional counseling centers are being set up to further enhance patient care.
The hospital is also initiating a cleaning protocol to maintain hygiene across all wards, with the goal of providing comprehensive care to every patient. Dr. Sivanand was joined by Dr. Dhaval Bhaskara Rao, the RMO, during the media briefing.
