Ecosystem Health Card Vital to Address Ecological Imbalance: Visakhapatnam Forest Official

Visakhapatnam: Chief Conservator of Forests, S. Srikantanatha Reddy, emphasized the urgent need for an 'ecosystem health card' to combat growing ecological imbalances caused by biotic pressure.

He highlighted that this tool is essential for assessing the ecosystem's well-being and implementing necessary remedial actions.

Reddy shared these insights at the inauguration of a three-day training programme for Indian Forest Service (IFS) officers in Visakhapatnam on Tuesday.

The workshop, which brings together IFS officers from across India, aims to equip participants with the skills required to develop an effective Ecosystem Health Card.
