GVMC Approves Development Projects Worth ₹30 Crore



Visakhapatnam: The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) standing committee has greenlit development works totaling ₹30 crore during a meeting held on Tuesday.

Chaired by Mayor G Hari Venkata Kumari, the committee reviewed and discussed 280 agenda points, approving 224 of them while postponing the rest.

 


A substantial portion of the approved funds, ₹13.89 crore, will be allocated for engineering-related projects, and ₹6.17 crore has been earmarked for public health initiatives.

Prominent standing committee members, including Bommidi Ramana, PV Narasimham, N Nooka Ratnam, and others, were in attendance.

Key GVMC officials, such as Chief Health Officer Naresh Kumar, Secretary MVD Phani Ram, and Examiner of Accounts Vasudeva Reddy, also participated in the meeting.
