The East Coast Railway has rolled out an extension of its weekend special train services originating from Visakhapatnam, catering to the increasing summer travel demand.

This extension is in effect until June and covers key destinations including Secunderabad, Tirupati, Bengaluru, and Kurnool.

Visakhapatnam to Secunderabad :

Commencing from April 3 to June 26, train no. 08579 will depart Visakhapatnam on Wednesdays at 7 p.m., reaching Secunderabad the following day at 9.05 a.m. On the return journey, train no. 08580 will depart Secunderabad on Thursdays at 7.40 p.m., arriving in Visakhapatnam the next day at 9.15 a.m.

Visakhapatnam to Tirupati :

Starting from April 1 to June 24, train no. 08583 will set off from Visakhapatnam on Mondays at 7 p.m., reaching Tirupati at 9.15 a.m. the next day. For the return journey, train no. 08584 will depart Tirupati on Tuesdays at 9.55 p.m., reaching Visakhapatnam the next day at 10.15 a.m.

Visakhapatnam to SMV Bangalore :

Departing Sundays from April 7 to June 30, train no. 08543 will leave Visakhapatnam at 3:55 p.m., reaching SMV Bangalore the next day at 12:30 p.m. On Mondays, from April 8 to July 1, train no. 08544 will depart SMV Bangalore at 3.50 p.m., arriving in Visakhapatnam the following day at 1.30 p.m.

Visakhapatnam to Kurnool City :

Operating on Tuesdays from April 2 to June 25, train no. 08585 will leave Visakhapatnam at 5.35 p.m., reaching Kurnool City the next day at 1.25 p.m. On Wednesdays, from April 3 to June 26, train no. 08586 will depart Kurnool City at 3.30 p.m., arriving in Visakhapatnam the next day at 9.50 a.m.

All these trains will make various halts, ensuring connectivity to significant towns and cities along the route. The train compositions include various classes to accommodate different passenger preferences.
