Four Arrested for ₹1 Crore Palladium Theft in Visakhapatnam



Visakhapatnam: Paravada police arrested four individuals in connection with the theft of Palladium worth over ₹1 crore, announced Anakapalli District SP M. Deepika during a press conference on Wednesday.

The theft occurred on September 9, when Palladium, a key material used in metal catalysts, was stolen from a private manufacturing facility. The incident was reported by the company’s director, S.Varadarajan, after staff discovered the lock had been tampered with, and the Palladium was missing.

 


An investigation led to the arrest of Chintakayala Raju, Muddanur Vineeth Verma, Chintakayala Murali, and Kanumuri Ramachandra Raju. The stolen metal was recovered, and the suspects were apprehended at a cremation ground.
