Visakhapatnam Port Signs MOU with Hindustan Shipyard for New Tug Construction

Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA) has signed an agreement with Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) to design and construct a 60-ton Bollard Pull Tug.
The contract was signed on Wednesday by Capt. T. Srinivas, Deputy Conservator of VPA, and Cmde Girideep Singh (IN Retd), Director of Ship Building at HSL.
The tug, designed to improve ship movements in the harbor, will be completed within 18 months. With advanced safety features, this state-of-the-art vessel is expected to boost cargo throughput and enhance operational efficiency at Visakhapatnam Port.
