Advance Reservation Period for Train Tickets Reduced to 60 Days
The Indian Railways has announced a change in the advance reservation period for train journeys. Starting November 1, the booking window will be reduced from 120 days to 60 days, excluding the day of travel.
Passengers who have already booked their tickets under the previous 120-day rule can travel as planned without any changes to their bookings.
However, the existing facility for foreign tourists to book train tickets up to a year in advance will remain unchanged.
These new rules aim to streamline operations and enhance ticket availability closer to the travel date.
