GVL Urges the Construction of Two National Highway Stretches Connecting Visakhapatnam and Araku Valley.



The National Institute of Social Defence, in collaboration with the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment and Sneha Sandhya Age Care Foundation, is set to host a two-day national conference on ‘Elderly Issues’ at the Prema Samajam auditorium in Dabagardens, Visakhapatnam.

Scheduled for February 22 and 23, the conference aims to delve into the challenges faced by the elderly and devise effective strategies to address them.

Featuring a lineup of seasoned practitioners in elderly care, along with experts in various fields such as medicine, nursing, social work, and psychology, the conference will provide a platform for fruitful discussions and idea exchange.

Interactive sessions are planned to foster constructive dialogues among participants, encouraging the development of actionable plans aimed at improving the quality of life for the elderly population.


Attendees will include representatives from non-governmental organizations (NGOs), senior citizens’ associations, subject matter experts, academicians, as well as second-year post-graduate students in social sciences.

The conference promises to be a comprehensive forum for tackling pressing issues concerning the elderly community and charting a course towards enhanced well-being and empowerment.
