GVMC Proposes a Garage in Vizag to Maintain its Vehicles
The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) has recognized the need to establish a garage to maintain its fleet of vehicles, which includes over 700 vehicles that are assigned to various departments. It has put forward a proposal for setting up a garage. The proposed garage is set to be established at the Mudasarlova vehicle yard in Visakhapatnam, and it is expected to enhance the efficiency and longevity of the vehicles.
By providing a central location for the maintenance of the GVMC's vehicles, the garage will ensure that regular servicing and repairs are carried out promptly, which will improve the overall performance of the vehicles. This, in turn, will result in cost savings in the long run, as the GVMC will be able to use its vehicles for more extended periods of time without needing to replace them.
The proposed garage is estimated to cost around Rs 2 crore, and the proposal will be presented before the council on April 28. Given the importance of the GVMC's vision, it is unlikely to face many setbacks from the council. This proposed garage is a positive step towards improving the efficiency and effectiveness of GVMC's services. It is expected to benefit the city in the long run by ensuring that the GVMC's vehicles remain in good condition and can be used effectively to serve the community's needs.
