Visakhapatnam: The International Association for Religious Freedom (IARF) celebrated its formation day with a special meeting organized by its Visakhapatnam branch on Sunday.

The IARF, established on May 25, 1900, in Boston, is the world's oldest interfaith organization. It was founded to re-legalize the vision of the World Parliament of Religions held in 1893, promoting interfaith dialogue and cooperation.

During the celebration, members of the IARF Visakhapatnam branch gathered to honor the organization's long history of fostering religious freedom and mutual understanding among diverse faith communities. 

The event highlighted IARF’s commitment to openness, free religious inquiry, human dignity, social responsibility, and service.

IARF works collaboratively with religious communities and secular organizations that share its values. By promoting dialogue and cooperation, the IARF aims to build bridges between different faiths and support initiatives that uphold human rights and social justice.

The celebration in Visakhapatnam served as a reminder of the enduring importance of interfaith harmony and the organization's ongoing efforts to advocate for religious freedom and human dignity worldwide.
