Igniting Innovation: NSTL Hosts National Technology Day Celebrations



Visakhapatnam: The Naval Science and Technological Laboratory (NSTL), Visakhapatnam, recently hosted the 'National Technology Day Celebrations-2024' (NTDC-2024) with fervor and innovation.

An open house event was organized to mark the occasion, highlighting the theme "From Schools to Start-ups: Igniting Young Minds to Innovate."

With a focus on encouraging innovative thinking among students, NSTL received an impressive array of 150 models from various schools and colleges.

Out of these submissions, 50 outstanding models were selected for display during the open house. The winners of this showcase will be honored in an awards ceremony scheduled for Friday, adding an extra layer of anticipation to the event.


The ingenuity displayed by the participating students was commendable, with numerous innovative models capturing the attention of visitors and organizers alike.

Dr. Abraham Varughese, Director of NSTL, lauded the students for their creative contributions, recognizing the value they bring to the field of technology and science.

Chairing the NTDC-2024, Dr. Kishore Kumar Katikani expressed delight at the enthusiastic response from students, emphasizing the importance of nurturing young talent in the realm of technology.

The open house, which commenced with the inauguration ceremony, will continue to welcome visitors until May 11, providing ample opportunity for attendees to witness firsthand the brilliance and potential of the young innovators.
