In conversation with Kagithala Dinesh Reddy, an young solo traveller from Vizag
Kagithala Dinesh Reddy, a 21 year old from our very own Visakhapatnam is on a goal to complete his solo trip around the world on his two wheeler before he turns 25.
On his first solo ride in NS200 (Zuhu), he travelled for 56 days and covered 18,000 kms. In his Kashmir to Kanyakumari ride, he covered 16 states and 6 union territories.
Hello Vizag had an interaction with the young traveller and here are his views for you.
1. Something about yourself, your education, and your family background
It is my pleasure to introduce myself to a large number of audience through Hello Vizag. I am Kagithala Dinesh Reddy from Visakhapatnam. I am a college drop out. Coming to my family, we are 4 members, my father (expired), mother and younger sister.
2. What is the first place you travelled solo? Share your first solo travel experience
My first solo ride was from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. At the age of 20, that is the first time I've been away from home and had to be Independent. I was completely fine with my own company. A lot of people were surprised when I said I was travelling alone. My passion was my only companion.
3. How does interest towards traveling started?
Since 2014
4. What is your favourite place to travel?
Kedarnath is my favourite place to travel.
5. What is your dream place to travel to?
Leh Ladakh is my dream place to travel. And the dream came true at the age of 21. I have travelled to Leh Ladakh in July 2021
6. What are the three important things that you carry while traveling?
Confidence, self control and patience are the three most important things that I carry while traveling.
7. What is your goal?
My goal is to travel all over India before the age of 25.
8. Message to the readers
Travelling alone might be the scariest, but definitely, it is more liberating and a life time experience. Try it at least once
