India–Sri Lanka 1st ODI Shifted from Delhi to Visakhapatnam

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has shifted the venue of the first One Day International (ODI) between India and Sri Lanka from New Delhi to Visakhapatnam.

The match, part of Sri Lanka’s tour of India, will now take place at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium on December 13, 2026. The date remains unchanged, with only the venue being relocated.

DDCA Requests Venue Change

According to the BCCI’s media advisory issued on November 5, the venue change was made following a request from the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA).

The DDCA cited potential weather-related disruption and proposed renovation work at the Arun Jaitley Stadium as reasons for seeking the change.

Vizag to Host Series Opener

The shift brings the opening match of the India–Sri Lanka ODI series to Visakhapatnam, which has regularly hosted international cricket fixtures.

The ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium will host the match on Sunday, December 13, with the game scheduled to begin at 2:00 PM IST.

India–Sri Lanka Limited-Overs Schedule

The tour will feature three ODIs followed by three T20 Internationals.

1st ODI December 13, 2026 Visakhapatnam
2nd ODI December 16, 2026 Bengaluru
