IndiGo Resumes Daily Morning Flights Between Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam

In a move that significantly boosts regional air connectivity in Andhra Pradesh, IndiGo Airlines has resumed its daily morning flight service between Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam starting June 1, 2025. The reinstated route is expected to benefit both business and leisure travelers seeking quick and efficient transport between the state's legislative and financial capitals.

The daily flight departs from Vijayawada at 7:15 AM and arrives in Visakhapatnam at 8:25 AM. The return leg leaves Visakhapatnam at 8:45 AM, reaching Vijayawada by 9:50 AM. Operated using an ATR aircraft, the service is aimed at providing comfortable, short-haul travel while reducing dependence on long and tiring road or rail journeys.

Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu welcomed the resumption, stating that it aligns with the central government’s commitment to improving regional connectivity under the UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik) scheme. The restored flight path is expected to strengthen trade, tourism, and administrative mobility within Andhra Pradesh.

The move comes at a critical time when intra-state demand for air travel is on the rise, driven by increased economic activity and urbanization. With Visakhapatnam being a major port and industrial city, and Vijayawada serving as the administrative core, the direct air link promises to streamline communication and productivity.

Passengers can now book tickets on IndiGo’s official website and enjoy seamless air travel between the two bustling cities of Andhra Pradesh.
