Indira Gandhi Zoological Park to organise a summer camp



Indira Gandhi Zoological Park, Visakhapatnam, is organising a Summer Camp for wildlife enthusiasts. The motto of this summer camp is to encourage the children and educate them on the importance of Wildlife. Vizag Zoo is organising this camp from 23 May to 2 June 2022 for students aged between 05-18 years in two batches. 

The first batch is for 5-11 year age groups and will be conducted from 23 May to 27 May. And the second batch is for 12-18 years, from 29 May to 2 June. It is an interactive offline program where students learn about the importance of nature, wildlife conservation and management of wild animals at the zoo. Students will have classes on the Animal world, Animal behaviour studies, management of animals at the zoo, Veterinary care of zoo animals, Butterflies and their rearing, etc. The application must be filled out through the online portal available on the Zoo website.


The application should have a recent passport size colour photograph. And the registration fees are to be paid online. Intimation and further details will be sent to the selected members to attend the camp. A special souvenir kit will be given to all the registered participants. Anyone in the age group of 05-18 years may apply for the camp, and it will be held on the zoo premises between 03 pm to 05 pm from 23 May 2022 to 2 June 2022.
