Jio 5G is now available in Vizag and three other Andhra Pradesh cities
Jio has invested Rs 6,500 crore in the deployment of the 5G network in Andhra Pradesh. On December 26, Jio 5G and its powered Wi-Fi services were launched in Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Guntur, and Tirumala.
On Monday, Minister Gudivada Amarnath, Chief Secretary of AP Dr. K.S. Jawahar Reddy, IAS, and Director General of Police K.V. Rajendra Reddy attended an event in Vijayawada to announce the launch. Jio demonstrated the benefits of 5G in the field of healthcare during this launch event.
Minister Gudivada Amarnath stated at the event that the availability of high-speed internet on phones leads to seamless virtual connectivity. As internet speeds improve, more people will enroll in online classes and upgrade their skills, resulting in career advancement.
By December 2023, Jio True 5G will be fully operational throughout Andhra Pradesh. The telco was expanding its coverage to include every town, Mandal, and village in Andhra Pradesh.
