Launch of India's First 4th Gen DaVinci Robot for Advanced Surgeries, Hyderabad had one such robot, and now Vizag's Medicover Hospital joins the league.
India has achieved a significant milestone in healthcare with the inauguration of the country's first state-of-the-art 4th Gen DaVinci robot machine for cutting-edge robotic procedures.
Swamy Swaroopananda, the Seer of Sri Saradapeetham, marked this momentous occasion.
This advanced DaVinci robot machine is poised to revolutionize surgical practices, providing surgeons with the capability to perform intricate procedures through minimal incisions. The benefits extend to patients, ensuring a faster recovery process.
The fourth generation DaVinci robot excels in precision, enabling surgeons to navigate even the tiniest sections and spaces with remarkable accuracy.
Chairman and Managing Director of the hospital, Dr. Anil Krishna, expressed that this latest addition signifies a paradigm shift in surgical procedures.
The robot's capabilities allow access to smaller spaces, including the thoracic cavity and pelvis, resulting in smaller incisions and quicker patient recovery.
Dr. A Sarath Reddy highlighted the versatility of the DaVinci robot, stating that it can be employed across various departments, including general and gynecology.
Procedures like hysterectomy, pelvic lymph node dissections, pyeloplasty, augmentation procedures, kidney cancers (partial and radical nephrectomy), rectal and colon cancers, intersphincteric resection, permanent colostomy, and lung surgeries – where traditional open surgeries are impractical – can now be efficiently performed with minimal incisions using this advanced robotic technology.
