Nearby Attractions to Lawson's Bay Beach

Vizag is a land of wide beaches, old temples, hills, magnificent caverns, and savory valleys, and it has a lot to offer and survive. While at Lawson's Bay Beach, you can go to a variety of destinations, including:

1. INS Kursura Submarine Museum:

INS Kursura is a war veteran and the most unusual  museum in South Asia. The Indian Navy inducted the INS Kurusura Submarine, a Soviet-built I-641 class submarine, on December 18, 1969. After 31 years of valiant service to the country, it was decommissioned on February 28, 2001.

The museum first opened its doors to the public on August 14, 2002. The exhibit allows you to have a taste of what it's like to be inside a submarine.

2. Kailasagiri Park:

This park, which is 360 feet above sea level, offers views of the sea, trees, and the city of Visakhapatnam. Outside the main gate, a man selling lemonade has been selling it for over three decades and offers a taste of his life with a drink of lemonade.

At Kailasagiri Park, you can also go paragliding. There is a tourist ropeway that gives you a bird's eye perspective of the entire city. A toy railway for youngsters has been installed to add to your enjoyment.

3. TU 142 Aircraft Museum:

Located just across from the INS Kursura Submarine Museum, the aircraft museum has quickly become one of the most popular tourist attractions in just two years. After 30 years of dedicated service, the Indian Navy's TU 142 aircraft was decommissioned and made into a museum.

You have an exhibition hall right before you enter the plane that takes you through the various parts of the aircraft. Outside the museum, there is a tiny gift and souvenir shop that sells limited-edition bookmarks and pens.

4. Victory at Sea Memorial:

We are all familiar with the Indo-Pak war, which took place in 1971. The INS Vikrant, with other submarines and planes, defeated the Pakistani attacks at this time. This memorial not only gives you the chills but also maintains the memory of victory alive. Some memoirs are achingly lovely.

What is the best way to get to Lawson's Bay Beach?

Visakhapatnam is accessible by train, bus, and flight from nearly all of the country's main cities. The availability of leased automobiles or cabs is not an issue due to the city's popularity. You can get a private cab from one of Vizag's best vehicle rental firms and travel around the city in style.

Except for buses, which are difficult to come by because Lawson's is actually an extension of Ramakrishna Beach, any method of public or private transportation is very easy to come by. To get to Lawson Beach, take these steps:

1. Take a train to Visakhapatnam and get out at Visakhapatnam Railway Station. From the station, you can take a cab or a bus directly to Lawson's Bay.

2. Take a flight to Visakhapatnam and exit at the Visakhapatnam Airport. This airport serves a number of major cities as well as a few international destinations.

3. Travel by car to Visakhapatnam because the city is well connected by roads and can be reached from any area of the country. The primary route that travels through Visakhapatnam is National Highway 16.
