Inspiration:
Indra Nooyi, CEO of Pepsico. One of the most inspirational women in the world. Despite hailing from a humble family from Chennai, from the times where women were not influential, she DREAMED BIG. Stood up against every odd and became the most successful woman in the world inspiring every young girl in the world. She spreads a lot of positivity and energy throughout.
Struggles:
I faced the same struggles where every woman faces. We were always given second priority and less importance compared to male counterparts as a result of the society. But as the world is evolving, women have proved time and again that we have the same or even more capabilities to shape the world.
Thoughts on Women’s Life:
With the advancement of civilization, the role of women has diabolically changed in society. Where earlier they were considered fit only as caregivers, today there is nothing that could be imagined where women can't participate.
From Olympics to combat forces, from entrepreneurship to academics, women are leaving a legacy behind to be followed along with successfully managing their familial responsibilities.
Advice to women:
To all the young women who are still in their age of grooming and development, their primary focus should be on building capacity, developing skills both mental and physical that helps them grow as an individual.
Crimes against women have increased in recent times. What would you say about that?
Crimes have definitely increased against women since a larger number of women come out these days to study or work . However reporting against crime and punishment to the culprit is also higher than earlier times when most crimes went unreported out of fear of social stigma.
Favourite Book:
"The Magic of Thinking Big " by David J. Schwartz
Where do you aim to see yourself in the next five years?
In the next five years I want to see myself in an inspiring position spreading positivity and hope that women can dream big and can make it possible.
Professionally I would be expanding my company Studio Seven across the nation, yet lead a simple and peaceful life with family and friends. I want to create opportunities for young curious minds and learn along the way, cherishing the journey more than the destination.
What are your thoughts about feminism?
Feminism isn't about superiority of any gender .It is rather about equal rights of women and their freedom to enjoy those rights at par with their male counterparts.
