I still tremble if I remember this Incident in the starting days of my career. While returning from Thailand I was new to shift from Mumbai International airport to Domestic airport, where I came out and a cab driver took advantage and took me somewhere. After a long drive he stopped, got down and talking to the person, I could smell something wrong.
I don't know Hindi, My mobile doesn't have Roaming, and I could not call my colleagues. Pulled off all my energy and senses and got down the cab from the other side and ran to Junction where I boarded the auto and managed to explain what happened and told him that I have to go to Mumbai domestic airport.
He was a kind fellow who dropped me safely in the domestic airport. It was a terrible learning experience for me.
Thoughts on Women’s Life:
Nothing Perfect may happen to you, but you can make everything Perfect.
Advice to women:
Be the definition of Best..best mother, best wife, best daughter, best friend, best boss, best person to be with. Don't underrate yourself. If you can't believe yourself, who else will?
I believed that I could feature in the Eenadu paper Vasundara column, and one day my interview got published in it. Believe it, and you can do it.
Crimes against women have increased in recent times. What would you say about that?
Women have to be more smart in handling the issues. Women have to be mentally strong and accept that nothing can change their identity. Laws in favour of women should be reachable. Punishments for the offences against women should be severe.
Favourite Book:
Can't say one. But a few books like Men from Mars, Women from Venus, Rich dad and Poor Dad, 7 habits of effective people, many Chandamama stories,Twinkle, Malgudi stories, Hindu Dasa Puranas etc shaped my thought process. Every Book gives a learning Point.
Where do you aim to see yourself in the next five years?
To add three more Portfolios with an Increased Bank Balance.
What are your thoughts about feminism?
I respect working women...who work at the office and who work in the Family. Every woman should be economically strong at the same time she should stay connected strongly to her family. I love and Value Relationships. We earn, build our Individuality and finally attain happiness with the Family Bond. People are our assets. Don't loose them under the umbrella of Feminism.
