MILAN 2024' Naval Exercise Set to Take Place in Visakhapatnam from February 19

The 12th edition of the largest multilateral naval exercise, 'MILAN 2024,' is scheduled to take place in Visakhapatnam from February 19 to 27.

This comprehensive exercise encompasses both harbour and sea phases, aiming to strengthen maritime cooperation and security.

Visakhapatnam has been chosen as the preferred destination for future MILAN exercises due to its growing stature and the need for a larger staging and hosting base.

The city's scenic views and well-equipped infrastructure make it an ideal location for hosting various events during MILAN, including operational demonstrations and an international city parade along the shore.

A total of 57 friendly foreign countries from across continents will participate in this edition, engaging in operational, social, and cultural exchanges.

The exercise serves as a notable example of bringing nations together on a single platform to address common challenges and foster an enhanced and secure maritime environment.

Through MILAN, India demonstrates its commitment to promoting maritime cooperation and security in the Indian Ocean Region.
