Over 60 Jana Sena Party leaders and workers have been granted bail



The Visakhapatnam city court has granted bail to more than 60 Jana Sena Party leaders and workers who were arrested by police on October 15 for stone-pelting the convoys of Minister R.K. Roja and YSRCP leaders at the Visakhapatnam airport.

 


On Saturday evening, the convoys of Tourism Minister R.K. Roja and other leaders were attacked at the airport as they returned from Visakha Garjana. The police filed charges against 92 JSP leaders and workers under various sections of the IPC, and 70 of them were arrested.

The arrested members were produced before the VIIth Metropolitan Magistrate on Sunday night. Out of the 70 members, 61 were granted bail on a personal bond of Rs 10,000 each, while the rest were sent to judicial custody until October 28.
