Smt. Golagani Hari Venkata Kumari, the HonourableMayor of Visakhapatnam, formally launched the Poster for the State’s First Pink Sakhi Saree Walk, on Thursday, 7th February”25 at The Park. This event followed by a Press Meet was attended by many dignitaries and sponsors of the event including, Dr.DS Anand, President, Gurudwara Sadh Sangat, Dr. Aditya, HCG Cancer Hospital, Ms. Farzana Begum, Founder -Fit with Fab, Dr. Meenakshi Anantram, Vice President, Rohit Memorial Trust (RMT), Ms.Gurmeet Kohli, Director-Projects (RMT) and many others.

The Honourable Mayor, was very happy to hear of this unique initiative and praised the organisers. She also promised to extend full-fledged support for such Cancer Awareness Programs in future.

The event is being conducted by the Rohit Memorial Trust (RMT) in association with the Round Table Ladies Circle India on Sunday, 16th February, 2025, from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. This event celebrates International Cancer Month and spreads awareness on Women’s Cancers. This event is being supported by the State Dept of Health, Govt. of AP, CMR Group, HCG Cancer Hospital, renowned oncologists, and many corporates and social organisations.

The Rohit Memorial Trust established sixteen years ago, has been carrying out various activities for social upliftment especially in the areas of cancer awareness, counselling, palliative medical clowning and women empowerment.
