Sanitation workers were felicitated at the Swachh Visakha Puraskar 2022 programme

The Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation awarded Swachh Visakha Puraskar-2022 to 144 workers for their contributions to Swachh Visakha. Their efforts were instrumental in achieving the fourth position in the Swachh Survekshan-2022.
The appreciation certificates were presented to all 144 workers by YSRCP Uttarandhra region coordinator and TTD Chairman Y.V. Subba Reddy, District Collector A. Mallikarjuna, Mayor G. Hari Venkata Kumari, and GVMC Commissioner P. Raja Babu. Each sanitary worker received Rs 1000, and each underground drainage worker received Rs 1500.
Y.V. Subba Reddy praised sanitation workers' efforts. He added that the Sachivalayam staff and citizens' commitment played an important role in improving Visakhapatnam's rank and also making the city the top in the country in the citizen feedback category.
