Citizens and tourists in Visakhapatnam can now take a ride on a catamaran ship beginning in November. Visakhapatnam Port and the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC) are collaborating to launch a catamaran ship to boost tourism in Visakhapatnam.
An MS Class-6 Catamaran ship is arriving from Gujarat. As part of the pilot project, the ship will initially operate between Port and Kailasagiri, covering a distance of 10 kilometers. It is expected to provide visitors with a scenic experience.
The necessary clearances have been obtained for the ship's basement in the port premises. Outsourcing services are assigned to a private agency that will handle maintenance and management services.
