South Coast Railway Launches Month-Long Digital Life Certificate Campaign 5.0

Month-Long Campaign for Pensioners

South Coast Railway has launched Digital Life Certificate (DLC) Campaign 5.0 to simplify the annual life certificate submission process for railway and family pensioners.

The campaign runs from November 1 to 30, 2026, and is intended to make pension verification more convenient, particularly for senior citizens and pensioners with mobility difficulties.

Digital Submission Through Jeevan Pramaan

Pensioners can submit their life certificates using smartphones through Aadhaar-based biometric authentication and facial recognition technology.

The process uses the Aadhaar Face RD application and the Jeevan Pramaan app. After successful authentication and submission of the required pension details, a Digital Life Certificate is generated. Pensioners receive a Jeevan Pramaan ID through SMS, which can be used to access the certificate.

Special Camps Across the Railway Network

SCoR is organising special camps to help pensioners complete the process and address related concerns. The initiative includes a mega camp at the zonal headquarters in Visakhapatnam, along with divisional and workshop-level camps across the railway network.

The camps will provide assistance with Jeevan Pramaan registration, Digital Life Certificate generation and pension grievance redressal. Special support is also planned for super-senior pensioners aged 80 and above.

Easier Verification for Senior Citizens

The digital facility allows eligible pensioners to complete annual verification without physically visiting pension-disbursing offices. The initiative is expected to reduce inconvenience and make pension-related services more accessible.

Pensioners attending the camps are advised to carry their Pension Payment Order (PPO), registered mobile phone and relevant pension details.
