Stray Dogs and Cattle Cause Safety Concerns at Andhra University
Visakhapatnam: Stray dogs and cattle are becoming a serious problem on the Andhra University campus, with their presence posing safety risks for students and staff.
The situation has worsened, as these animals are now entering classrooms and creating disturbances.
In a recent incident, a faculty member and six students were injured by a dog attack.
In another, a stray dog entered a classroom, causing panic among the students. Female students living in the women's engineering college hostel have expressed fear of stepping out due to the increasing presence of stray dogs near the hostel mess, where leftover food is frequently dumped.
Students and parents are urging university officials to take immediate action. They are calling for steps to manage the stray dog and cattle population and improve overall sanitation on the campus to ensure a safer environment.
