Tensions Rise as TNSF and Telugu Mahila Protest Deccan Chronicle Report in Vizag

Demonstrators Oppose Alleged Government U-turn on Steel Plant Privatization

Tensions escalated in Visakhapatnam today as members of the Telugu Nadu Student Federation (TNSF) and the Telugu Mahila wing protested outside the Deccan Chronicle office. The demonstration was triggered by a report from the newspaper alleging that the state government had reversed its stance on the privatization of the steel plant.

Protesters, expressing their outrage over the report, damaged the office board of Deccan Chronicle. Security staff, maintaining a strong presence, successfully prevented the demonstrators from entering the office premises, averting further escalation.

The TDP, aligning with the sentiments of the protesters, condemned the alleged U-turn by the coalition government on the steel plant privatization issue. The situation remains tense as authorities work to manage the protest and ensure the safety of the premises. For further updates, stay tuned to our news feed.
