The ban on plastic Flexi will go into effect on January 26

The government of Andhra Pradesh had delayed the implementation of the plastic Flexi ban until January 26, which was supposed to take effect today. Flexi manufacturers requested the government more time to change technology and manufacturing equipment.

The officials brought their request to the CM's attention. The CM responded positively and ordered the ban to go into effect on January 26. Meanwhile, he has directed the officials to provide them with adequate technological support. He also ordered officials to look into providing Flexi manufacturers with nominal interest loans of up to Rs 20 lakhs to assist them in replacing their equipment.

The ban on plastic Flexi will be in effect beginning January 26, 2023. The government announced this decision to prevent pollution and to prohibit the use of plastic Flexi for the sake of the environment.
