The Vizag Police will Concentrate on Preventing Taxi and Auto Drivers from Overcharging Tourists
Ch. Srikanth, the City Police Commissioner, attended the kiosk's inauguration, which was virtually kicked off by CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy. Later, speaking to the media, the commissioner stated that a meeting between transport department officials and auto unions, and cab owners will be held soon, and charges for various tourist destinations will be finalized so that tourists do not have to pay extra fares to the autos and cabs.
As a part of their corporate social responsibility, Laurus Labs has provided 20 police patrol vehicles and two beach patrol vehicles. CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, along with Home Minister T.Vanitha and Director General of Police K.V. Rajendranath Reddy, virtually inaugurated the Kisok and flagged off these vehicles.
According to Commissioner Ch. Srikant, RK Beach receives over 1.50 million visitors each year, and many tourists lose their belongings, are overcharged by autos and cabs, and children go missing. The kiosk will be a solution to all of these issues; it will be staffed by trained personnel and will make it simple for tourists to lodging complaints. Action will be taken at the earliest. The kiosks will also be inaugurated at Rushikonda Beach and Tennati Park.
