GVMC is Investing Over Rs 5 Crore in the Development of Five New Beach Spots

GVMC has decided to develop five new beach spots along the 8-kilometer beach stretch. The GVMC is working towards developing these spots before the Global Investors Summit and G20 summits begin in the city. The cost of developing and adding amenities to these five new beach spots will exceed 5 crores.

In the first phase, three spots will be transformed, including Jodugullapalem and Sagar Nagar; the remaining two will be transformed in the second phase. The main goal of increasing the number of tourist spots along the beach is to reduce overcrowding at the major beaches. Proper security measures will also be taken to make sure that a sense of security is installed among the visitors to these newly developed spots.

The entire 8-kilometer stretch and the road leading to Bheemili will get over 350 electrical poles. Sufficient lighting and CCTVs will be installed along the stretch. Over 40 CCTV cameras with tilt-zoom capabilities will be installed to improve security along the stretch and roads leading to the Bheemili beach.
