A devastating incident occurred in Pendurthi, Visakhapatnam, as a 22-year-old school teacher lost her life in a collision with a speeding motorcyclist on the BRTS Road on October 10.

The incident was brought to light after the Pendurthi police registered a case against the motorcyclist late on the evening of October 9.

The victim, identified as M. Shaheeda, was a resident of Pendurthi and worked as an English Teacher at a local private school.

According to Inspector K. Ashok Kumar of Pendurthi Traffic, Shaheeda was crossing the BRTS road to reach a shop on the opposite side when a motorcyclist, speeding recklessly, struck her.

Notably, two-wheelers are strictly prohibited from using the central path of the BRTS road, with barricades in place to enforce this rule. Despite this, the motorcyclist violated the regulation and collided with Shaheeda.

Despite immediate medical attention, Shaheeda was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital. The Pendurthi police have taken legal action against the motorcyclist involved in the tragic incident.
