In a heartbreaking incident, a 40-year-old woman, identified as M Yerayamma, who worked as a staff nurse, took her own life by hanging in her residence in Narsipatnam, Anakapalle district.
The woman had been grappling with deteriorating health, which led to her slipping into depression.
The police have initiated an investigation, and the body has been moved for postmortem examination. The distressing incident sheds light on the importance of addressing mental health concerns, especially within the healthcare profession.
