The Visakhapatnam Airport has registered a growth of 55.14 % in passenger traffic and a growth of 41.13 % in aircraft movement in the financial year -2022-23. 

The airport had a total of 1,618,483 passengers in FY-21-22 while in FY-22-23, the number of passengers increased to 2,498,454. Similarly, in terms of aircraft movements, the airport had 14,852 movements in FY-21-22, which increased to 20,961 movements in FY-22-23.
In terms of month-wise details, the airport witnessed an increase in both domestic and international passengers in almost all the months of FY-22-23 as compared to the previous year. The highest growth in passenger traffic was witnessed. The number of international passengers in FY 21-22 is 2979 and in FY 22-23, it stood at 631834.

The total number of domestic passengers in April was 1,13,442, which increased to 1,69,544 in October and then decreased to 1,37,060 in January. The total number of domestic passengers for the financial year was 16,07,504.

For FY-22-23, the number of international passengers started to increase in April and reached 4,986 in March. The number of domestic passengers for the month of March was the highest at 2,50,757. The total number of domestic passengers for the financial year was 24,35,320. Overall, there was a significant increase in the number of passengers for FY-22-23 as compared to FY-21-22.
