Visakhapatnam Cab Driver’s Organ Donation Helps Save Five Lives in Hyderabad

Visakhapatnam Man’s Organs Donated in Hyderabad

The family of Sativada Chinnarao, a 42-year-old cab driver from YSR Nagar in Thatichetlapalem, Visakhapatnam, donated his organs after doctors declared him brain dead at a private hospital in Hyderabad.

According to Telangana Today, Chinnarao collapsed on October 14 after feeling dizzy while returning from a salon near Bodakunta in Balapur, Hyderabad. He was rushed to a private hospital for emergency treatment, but his condition did not improve.

Doctors declared him brain dead on October 25.

Wife Makes the Decision to Donate Organs

Following the devastating news, Chinnarao’s wife, Madhu, agreed to donate his organs to help patients waiting for transplants.

His two kidneys, liver and two corneas were donated under Jeevandan, Telangana’s state-run organ donation initiative. The donation helped five patients in need of life-saving or sight-restoring treatment.

A Family’s Loss Becomes Hope for Others

Organ donation can give patients with serious medical conditions a chance at a better life. Chinnarao’s family made the decision during an extremely difficult time, allowing his organs and tissues to benefit others.

Jeevandan Telangana expressed its gratitude to the family for their decision, recognising the contribution as an important act of generosity.

The incident highlights the importance of organ donation awareness and the difference that a single donor can make to multiple lives.
