The  Visakhapatnam Member of Parliament MVV Satyanarayana advised Spice Jet Airlines to utilize the newly developed parking bays at the Visakhapatnam International Airport.

These parking bays were developed to facilitate the late night and early morning flights from Visakhapatnam. The MP also requested Spice Jet Airlines to start exclusive cargo flights from the city.

The Visakhapatnam MP, who is also the chairman of the Airport Advisory Committee, sent a letter advising the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Spice Jet to utilize the parking bays at the airport. In the letter sent on 21 March 2022, the MP also requested Spice Jet to introduce cargo flights to boost business flow in the city. The MP stated in the letter that Visakhapatnam is the ninth-largest city in terms of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) and is one of the fastest-growing cities in Asia.

It is the home of many textile parks, pharma parks, agro exports, and seafood exports. He gave a detailed representation of trade in the city and the scope of development that it would receive if Spice Jet introduced cargo.
