A very sad incident occurred when Sanapala Ramanaiah, who worked as a mandal revenue officer (Tahsildar) in Vizag Rural, was violently attacked and killed by a group of criminals in Kommadi locality under the PM Palem police station limits early on Saturday(3rd February 2024).

The attackers entered Ramanaiah's home, used iron rods to kill him, and then quickly left him lying on a pool of blood.

Even though he was rushed to a private hospital, Ramanaiah did not survive. Authorities believe a land dispute may be the reason for this terrible crime.

To catch the culprits, a special police team has been assembled, and the city police chief, Dr. A. Ravi Shankar, and his team visited the crime scene.

They are examining CCTV footage to identify the four-member gang responsible for this tragic murder.

The community is grieving the loss of a dedicated officer, and efforts are underway to bring justice swiftly.
