Exciting News: Visakhapatnam's Floating Sea Bridge Set to Open Next Week
Visakhapatnam is gearing up for a remarkable addition to its tourism attractions – the Floating Sea Bridge (FSB).
Positioned near the Kursura submarine museum at RK beach, this state-of-the-art project, the first of its kind in the State, is inspired by the success of the FSB at Chavakkad Beach in Thrissur, Kerala.
According to officials from the Visakhapatnam Metro Region Development Authority (VMRDA), the FSB will be open to the public by next week.
Technicians from Mumbai have been hard at work installing the project, ensuring it meets the highest standards.
Before the grand opening, there will be a trial run for VMRDA officials and others involved in the project.
Operated by the private company M/S Sri Sai Moksha Shipping & Logistics under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode, the FSB is designed to accommodate 200 people at a time.
Visitors can walk 100 meters into the sea through the bridge, which gracefully rises and falls with the waves. The entry fee is expected to range from ₹100 to ₹150.
To enhance the visitor experience, approximately 100 square yards of beachfront land have been allocated for setting up a tourist facility near the FSB.
Safety measures include two anchored boats surrounding the bridge, with security personnel monitoring visitors from the sea side.
The FSB promises to be a unique and exciting addition to Visakhapatnam's tourism landscape, providing a memorable experience for locals and tourists alike.
