In a recent operation, the city's task force police successfully seized a significant haul, including seven gold bars weighing approximately 815 grams, ₹2,000 in cash, two mobile phones, and one silver bracelet.
The operation unfolded when two individuals were caught transporting these valuables illegally in a vehicle near Bheemili crossroads in the city.
Acting on credible information, the police intercepted the vehicle at a designated check post, leading to the confiscation of the gold and other items.
Two arrests were made in connection with the illegal transportation of these valuable articles.
