Construction Progress and Challenges:

Visakhapatnam's highly anticipated multi-level car parking (MLCP)-cum-commercial complex, initially slated for an August 2023 launch, is facing delays and is now expected to be ready by September 2024.

According to officials from the Visakhapatnam Metropolitan Region Development Authority (VMRDA), the project has encountered technical setbacks, but efforts are being made to expedite completion within the next two months.

As of July 29, VMRDA officials reported that 75% of the construction work has been completed, with approximately ₹50 crore already spent out of the total estimated cost of ₹87.50 crore.

The project was finalized in December 2021, with construction commencing in 2022. Despite the delays, the VMRDA is committed to finishing the project soon to alleviate parking woes and enhance commercial activity in the area.
