Direct Flights Connect Vizag and Bangkok

Visakhapatnam has taken another step towards strengthening its international air connectivity with the launch of direct flights to Bangkok operated by Air India Express on October 27, 2026.

The twice-weekly service offers travellers from Visakhapatnam and neighbouring regions a nonstop connection to Thailand's capital, reducing the need to travel through other cities for this route.

The flights operate from Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport at Bhogapuram, adding an international connection to the region's expanding aviation network.

The nonstop service offers a convenient option for tourists, families, students and business travellers travelling between Andhra Pradesh and Thailand.

Boost for Bhogapuram Airport

The new route highlights the potential of Bhogapuram's Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport to strengthen international connectivity for Visakhapatnam and North Andhra.

Direct flights can make overseas travel more convenient for residents of Visakhapatnam and nearby districts, while supporting tourism and business links between the two destinations.

Cyclone-Related Travel Advisory

Cyclone Arnab disrupted flight operations around Visakhapatnam on October 27, with reports indicating that an Air India Express flight from Bangkok to Visakhapatnam was cancelled.

Passengers should check their flight status and receive confirmation from the airline before leaving for the airport, particularly while weather-related disruptions remain possible.
