Vizag-Colombo flight services from July



Information Technology Minister Gudivada Amarnath has expressed the hope that investments will pour into Andhra Pradesh through the Davos conference. Speaking at a program organized by the Air Travellers Association in Visakhapatnam on Sunday, the minister said that flight service between Visakhapatnam and Colombo will start in July. 


Amarnath said that Visakhapatnam airport had grown from four flights per day to 64. A total of 18 lakh passengers travel from Visakhapatnam airport. The minister said that flight services to Malaysia, Bangkok, and Singapore are being restored while flight service between Visakhapatnam and Colombo will start in July. He said that the conference in Davos will be held on 18 topics, of which 10 will be prioritized by the Andhra Pradesh government. Special attention was paid to agriculture, tourism, education, medicine, and economics during the conference. 

 

The minister said that the government will develop the IT sector with a new concept 'Beach IT' and said that the IT sector was started in Visakhapatnam during the period of Dr. YSR. Now under the able governance of Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy, the IT sector will further progress in Vizag and the new concept of Beach IT will be of good advantage to Visakhapatnam the minister said.
